Deduplication policy
A deduplication policy is an encapsulation of multiple job schedules. A job schedule can be either a cron (For example: every tuesday at midnight) or an interval schedule (For example: every 15 hours).
There are three built-in policies for deduplication operations:
•
Default — This default policy is configured whenever deduplication is enabled for the first time in a volume. This policy contains the default deduplication job schedule. This policy cannot be deleted, but can be modified.
•
Auto — This policy triggers deduplication operations based on the amount of changed data in the volume. There is no schedule attached to this policy. This policy cannot be deleted or modified.
•
none — When this policy is configured on a volume, there are no scheduled deduplication runs on that volume. There is no schedule attached to this policy. This policy cannot be deleted or modified.
